Canvas allows to create combined courses? for example joining different sections that could exist on Compass?

Would you suggest setting up your gradebook first? Then making modules?

Is there an easy way to see "threaded" discussions? They seem to all align at the same level. I must be missing something.

and if independent courses are already created in Canvas a professor can combine them by him/herself? or is it an administrative function. if it is admin, the independent course need to be deleted in order to create a new combined course? or it is just joining them
